The Cutest Nursery Ever on Earth in the Whole Wide World!

For Christmas one of my gifts from Jerel was that he would paint the nursery. He (after hours of research, as usual) picked a darling design and then (after long months of procrastination) stayed home this week to take care of getting the nursery all painted. {Jerel's note: I would like to clarify my role in the actual painting of the room. While I did stay home it was in more of a supervisory role while a professional painter did the actual work. I wanted a chair rail installed and the existing trim painted and I wanted it to look good and since I had neither the expertise nor the equipment I decided to pay someone to do it.}

Before the painting the room was rather blah, just all white. Well, mostly white. I think the previous owners must have had kids in there because it was rather dirty. As you can see now it is just so bright and beautiful! Jerel let me pick the shades of yellow and green. I picked these ones because it makes me think of green grass with yellow daffodils. (The shades Jerel wanted looked like puke and pee, but we will be seeing enough of that when the baby comes. {Jerel's note: The shades I liked did not look like puke and pee, just better shades of green and yellow.}) The chair rail really adds a lot of character, the stripes are fun but not overwhelming, and the ceiling is even painted yellow to match the stripes.

Anyway, I think it is absolutely lovely! I'm sure the baby will like it as well. He is kicking all the time now and I think it's because he wants to come out and see the new nursery!

Yes you have a point with the colors, there will be plenty of puke and pee. haha That's pretty ambitious to even paint the ceiling. Pretty dang cute.

It's adorable - now all you need is a baby!
