Week 12

Here it is on week 12.  The drywall went in this week so I took lots of pictures inside because now you can sort of tell what things are.
There's Isaiah standing in our *big* garage!  Can you see on the left where there is a doorway and then stairs?  Just a couple of feet past that is where a normal garage stops, but we upgraded to the big garage and I'm so excited about it!  There are several more houses with similar floorplans to ours in the neighborhood and NONE of them have done the larger garage.  They are going to be so jealous when they realize what they've missed out on!

Here's a view of the great room from partway up the stairs.  The close part is the living area; the window in the upper left hand corner will be above the kitchen sink; the window in the top middle will be by the dining room table.
Eliza in her new room.

Isaiah in his new room.  They are right across the hall from each other.

Kids' bathroom.  The first part will have the sink, then a door, then the toilet & tub.  Time will tell if we'll be happy with that choice.

This is a view of the 2nd floor hallway from the master bedroom.  Door on left is an extra bedroom.  First door on right is the stairway.  2nd door on left is Isaiah's room.  2nd door on right is the bathroom, 3rd door on right is Eliza's room.  Doorway straight ahead is a small closet.

Zay and Eliza dancing in the laundry room.  Jerel in the master bedroom.  Doorway behind him goes into the master bath.

View from the 2nd floor.  That field is part of a community park with sports fields and such.

Ahhhhh.  The bonus room (or should I say "bonus floor").  The 3rd floor is going to be left wide open, 800 square feet for the kids to be crazy in, with a corner of it set aside for mom's sewing space.  Once my kids are old enough to tolerate being more than 4 inches away from me I'll probably move my sewing stuff to the empty room on the 2nd floor.  But for now this will work just fine!  It has a window at each end, and THREE skylights!

View from the 3rd floor playroom at the front of the house.

View from the 3rd floor playroom to the right (west).

Testing out the running room.

View from the 3rd floor out the back.  That red building will be the kids' school, just 3 or 4 blocks away!
